Hi!  My name is Chad Abrahamson.  I grew up in the small town of Roscoe, in north central Illinois, and while I have lived and traveled all over the world for work, I settled back near home in Rockford.  I spend all my time outside of work with my son (age 7) and daughter (age 8), and our two (yes two) Newfoundlands.  If I am not heading out to some event for one of the kids or working on homework, I am usually cleaning up drool from one of the dogs.

I come to the Impact Team with 10+ years experience in Materials and Distribution Management.  Those 10 years have taught me a lot about supplier management, most importantly that no matter what “it is all about customer service”.  I look forward to doing my best to ensure you get what you want, when you want it!

I was fortunate to have grown up in a blue collar neighborhood with a truck driver for a father and the greatest, most understanding Mom in the world. With two other brothers with Jethro Bodine like appetites, I don't know how they did it, but they managed. It seemed like a simpler time.
As a kid, I sold flower seeds and magazines door to door. I was the kid with the two paper routes and the lemonade stand. I just love the world of selling!

As a grown up kid, my prerequisite for working for a company was that they had the highest quality product on the market and treat the customer as king. I would rather justify initial cost now, instead of apologizing for poor quality down the road. I like looking a customer in the eye and know that I am giving him the best product and service to back it up. This is why I joined the team at Impact Plastics. You are truly getting the best lid and service in the industry! I have been in the professional sales and marketing world for thirty years. Time flies when you like what you do.

I am originally from scenic East San Jose. You won't find it on the vacation maps of the world! I am a San Francisco Giants Fan and card carrying member of the Raider Nation. For some reason I have also followed the Buffalo Bills since I was a kid. Married with 3 children…. I am a voracious reader, love all kinds of music, and of course to travel. I look forward to breaking bread with you when I am in your town.
Here’s leaving you with one of my favorite quotes ….the bitter taste of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

HOLA!  I’m back...and loving every minute of it. When I retired as Office Manager in 2006, my plans were to move to a non-winter state (is there such a place after this year?) but reality hit home. Both of my folks are 92 and live in their own home but only God knows for how long. So my retirement is working at Impact Plastics on a part-time basis, volunteering at a local hospital in Same Day Surgery, and being with my folks as often as possible. I also volunteer as a translator at a local school for Parent-Teacher Conferences and volunteer as a babysitter for The Teen-Parent Connection. I just became a great grandmother, so I love spending time with my family. I give thanks every day for my good health and wonderful life.

Impact Plastics provides top-quality products and customer service, but the equally important beliefs roll from the top down. The office environment is truly one large family.

I came from a family of 9 siblings growing up in the suburbs on Chicago’s “South Side”. Being from that large of a family, in order to get to my chair at the dinner table I had to either crawl under the table or walk out the front door and come in through the back door. I met my wife Michelle while we both attended college and we have two children. I now call myself a “North Sider” for the last 11 years.

I’ve been in the Distribution/Logistics/Transportation/Supply-Chain field for 30 years in various operations, sales, and management roles. Our team strives daily to see that you get the right product, at the right time, in the right condition, and at the right cost.

I enjoy spending time with my wife and children and playing a round of golf or two. I’m an all around “Chicago Sports Fan”. Go Bears, Cubs, Hawks and Bulls.

I am the newest member of the Impact Plastics team and am so excited and happy to be here. I grew up on a farm in central Illinois and my first job was walking beans on my Dad’s farm. I moved on to lifeguarding and teaching swimming lessons throughout my high school and college years. It was a great place to grow up and now love taking my three girls to visit Grandma & Grandpa’s farm. I graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a B.S. in Marketing/Business Administration.

St. Louis was more of my home but after commuting from St. Louis to Chicago for six months after meeting my husband of over 20 years, I finally made  the move to the Chicago area and have been here for 23 years. I have a background in corporate customer service management and have also spent time running my own business and part time teaching in the Elgin area. I love to travel, cook, read and hike. My three teenage daughters are so enjoying my new found interest in the waste industry! I feel building strong relationships is key to providing excellent customer service and taking care of our customers is always priority #1!

I’ve lived in the NW suburbs most of my life.  I enjoy the great outdoors and camping with my husband, two sons, and the family dog.  We enjoy traveling as a family throughout the United States and are amazed at the wonders of nature everywhere we go. I also enjoy running and using some of my creativity to make stained glass art.

I joined team Impact in the fall of 2010 and am enjoying working for a growing company.  My 10+ years of accounting experience has been in the manufacturing industry. I’ve learned a lot about customer satisfaction and strive to apply those principles every day at Impact Plastics. As the Accounting Manager at Impact Plastics, I take pride in ensuring that the finest details of our customers’ transactions are correct.

I grew up in farm country in rural Indiana and had the pleasure of being part of a community of 645 people.  With the influence of a very supportive family, I moved to Chicago and started work as a salesman with a bank and then eventually with a microscope company.  I have experience working with all different types of companies from government run facilities to small mom and pop machine shops and have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my sales career.  Even though I have had many positions during my lifetime which include janitor, chicken fryer frame painter, waiter and bartender, I always have enjoyed being around people.

I am an avid college football fan along with pro baseball and football.  My weekends consist of spending quality time with my wife and 2 girls, most of the time outside, vacationing or watching our favorite sports teams which include the Cubs, Bears and Fighting Irish.  I am very excited to be part of the Impact family and will look forward to engaging with all of the interesting people in the waste industry.

Hello, I grew up in the tough south side suburbs of Chicago and attend the south side St. Patrick’s parade every year. I have been in plastic sales for 17 years but am new to the Waste Industry, other than a couple of years working as a garbage man for the Forest Preserve District of Greater Chicago during my summers in college. It was there I learned how inconvenient a rusty can bottom can be when a bottom broke-away and maggots were all over me!!!!

I graduated from the University of Illinois in Champaign, and I am forever a proud follower of our sports teams. After college, I took off for Southern California but after 4 years I realized I missed Chicago too much.

During my spare time I enjoy playing with my two girls and a good meal and drink (probably a little “too much” if you believe my doctor). In addition to following the Illinois football and basketball teams, I am huge Bear, Bull and Cub fan. I also enjoy a good poker game and my family and I take 2 vacations per year. We love to travel!

Hi it's Amanda.
I joined Impact Plastics in 2006. What a great company to work for!! My experience is in administration, customer service and engineering design. Most recently, I acquired a CAD degree and also have a Liberal Arts degree from the University of MN . As a middle child, trying to make everyone happy seems to be a goal in my life. While I don't succeed all of the time, I do almost 100% of the time with Impact Plastics’ customers. Let me know if you think differently!!

I enjoy typical British traditions like having a spot of tea; I emigrated from England when I was 2. I have lived in many places; I moved 23 times by the time I graduated from high school. My family is very important to me. I am married and have two daughters. In my spare time (what spare time?), I enjoy running, entertaining, singing and traveling. My motto is "Make sure you laugh every day, even if it is at yourself!!"

I grew up in a small town on the edge of the Chicago suburbs, running around in a pack of kids outside all day and coming home when the streetlights came on.  A lot of my childhood was spent in our tiny library learning about the myriad of possibilities in the big world, which led me to the University of Illinois where I earned a B.S. in Finance.

I met my wonderful husband of 20+ years when we both worked as ride operators at Santa’s Village, a Christmas themed amusement park.  After almost six years of marriage, I decided to pursue an M.S. in Human Resources, and discovered that I was pregnant with our first child three weeks before my first class began!  While earning my degree, one class at a time, I awed my professors and classmates with my constantly changing frame as I had two more children.

My career began as a babysitter at 11, and I have been working ever since.  My jobs have ranged from washing test tubes and beakers at a lab to Director of I.T. at a mid-sized insurance company.  I am now in my second year at Impact Plastics, and I find myself looking for our lids wherever I go!  In my free time, I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with my husband and three children.

I am originally from a very small town in Illinois several hours from Chicago. I started working at an early age babysitting and detasseling and hand pollinating corn. From there I went on to have many customer service jobs in order to put myself through school (Northern Illinois University) – waitressing, bartending, working in a bakery and in fast food to name a few. All of those jobs helped me to realize that the customer is every company’s number one priority! I have held onto that philosophy ever since.

I began working at Impact Plastics in the Fall of 2010, and I’m enjoying every fast-paced minute of it! I have over 13 years of experience in marketing and graphic design in the logistics industry, as well as several years in the giftware industry, so I am completely new to the waste industry. However so far I have really enjoyed talking to so many nice and funny people, and I look forward to meeting more people and to learning as much about the industry as I can.

I have a wonderful husband and five awesome children (two are my stepchildren), who I love hanging out with on the weekends. I also love to travel and to run in short 5K races. I'm trying to work up the nerve to run in a longer race someday -- we'll see. And of course, I also find myself looking at containers and lids wherever I go now too!
